A polite letter – a request for attention, help and action

Dear and esteemed Ladies and Gentlemen,

as a university professor of constitutional law and a Slovenian “public watchdog” (according to the case-law of the ECtHR), I am addressing your respected and esteemed supranational institution with an important statement and a polite request for your HELP.

I am writing to you on behalf of thousands of citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.

The entire Slovenian parliamentary and party (daily) politics categorically and shamelessly ignores and rejects the Resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe No. 2361 (2021), which directly deals with the issue PROHIBITION OF FORCED (MANDATORY) VACCINATION OF PEOPLE FOR SARS-CoV-2 COVID -19.

Some time ago, in one of the initiatives to review the constitutionality of measures and regulations issued in the context of the “epidemic” (I wrote and submitted several), addressed to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia I also drew attention to this fact and proposed to the court to issue an order prohibiting all acts of the authorities contrary to the Resolution and ordering the suspension of all regulations which directly or indirectly concern or/and address the problem of compulsory vaccination. At the same time, I also suggested that the Constitutional Court warn the Slovenian government and Parliament that the Council of Europe Resolution is a document that must be respected, taken into account and implemented into the current legal order and legal regime. However, the Constitutional Court has not yet commented on this issue and has not responded to the initiative and proposal. It has also not yet made a final decision on elementary constitutional issues directly affecting the “epidemic” measures and regulations.

On behalf of the Slovenian public and on my own behalf, I sincerely ask for your help and action.

I am attaching a long list of citizens who have a profession in public educational institutions. All of these people (but not only them, far from that!) face the danger and THREAT (from the ruling parliamentary coalition – the Government) that they will lose their jobs if they refuse to be vaccinated for Covid-19! Including myself.

I am also attaching a link to my personal website (to its English version) where I have published (as a blog) an article on this topic and the text of the Resolution.

Today, on the 3rd of March 2021, similar letter was sent via email to the Council of Europe.
